To ensure that the complete manuscript record is made publicly accessible, NIHMS requires that all referenced supplementary material (i.e., images, tables, video, or other documents/files) be deposited with the manuscript files.
You may also supply additional supporting data files (under 2 GB) as file type Supplementary Material. These files should be given a descriptive label (e.g., Dataset 1). Because these datasets will be publicly accessible, those related to human subjects research should not include any personally identifiable information and deposit should be consistent with informed consent.
Please note that in cases where data cannot be reasonably associated with an article, either in a figure, table or supplementary file, or exceed the 2 GB file-size limit, NLM encourages you to make the data available in a public repository and include the relevant data citation(s) in the paper.
